Position Overview:
As a Social Media Intern at KIN Apparel, you will play a pivotal role in amplifying our brand’s presence across various social media platforms. You will contribute to our mission of creating a vibrant and inclusive community by executing strategic social media campaigns, engaging with our audience, and monitoring campaign success.
This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media management within the fashion and beauty industry.
Responsibilities:
- Create and schedule captivating content for Instagram and TikTok, aligning with the monthly campaign calendar and brand guidelines.
- Utilize tools such as Canva templates and Buffer to maintain consistent and visually appealing social media campaigns.
- Engage actively with the KIN Apparel social media community by responding to comments, messages, and user-generated content.
- Monitor social media channels for emerging trends, conversations, and opportunities for engagement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on social media performance including key metrics
- Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm and execute innovative ideas for social media content.
- Identify real-time trends and events that can be leveraged to create timely and relevant social media campaigns.
- Assist in the development of influencer partnerships and collaborations to expand brand reach.
- Stay informed about industry best practices, new social media features, and emerging platforms to enhance our social media strategy.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or actively working in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong passion for social media and an understanding of current social media trends and platforms.
- Basic proficiency in graphic design tools, such as Canva, to create visually appealing content.
- Familiarity with social media scheduling and management tools like Buffer.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with an online community effectively.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data and draw insights to enhance strategies.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop unique content ideas.
- Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Genuine interest in the fashion, beauty, and inclusion industries.
Duration and Compensation:
This is a 6 month part-time internship position, with the potential for extension based on performance. Compensation is $15/hour.
The ideal candidate should be prepared to work 20 hours per week across 3 days (pending schedule) with occasional onsite meetings and events.
